Our Services
-
Scleral lenses are specialized contact lenses that make contact lens use possible for many people for the first time – and they have advantages for normal contact lens wearers as well. A scleral lens is a larger lens that rests on the sclera or white of the eye, rather than the colored portion (or iris). The lens has many advantages which can make contact lens wear an option for those who have previously been told otherwise. The lens, which covers a larger area than a normal contact lens, creates a pocket filled with artificial tears, fitting securely around the eye.
-
There are many treatment options for dry eyes which are highly dependant upon the cause and severity of the condition. Many mild forms of DED can be alleviated using artificial tears or lubricant eye drops to make up for the lack of natural tears usually produced by your eyes. If over-the-counter drops don’t alleviate your symptoms, your doctor might prescribe prescription drops that actually stimulate tear production or steroids for short-term relief.
-
Studies have shown that an overwhelming majority of people are unsure of where to go for an eye emergency, leading to delayed care that could worsen the condition.
Whether you’re experiencing sudden vision loss, a foreign object in the eye, or another urgent eye issue, it’s crucial to seek emergency eye care as soon as possible. At The Vision Centers, our team is equipped to handle a wide range of eye emergencies, providing swift and professional care when you need it most.
-
At The Vision Centers, we are happy to provide pediatric eye care exams! Please note that these exams start at five years old for children, or when the child can confidently read the alphabet.
-
Regardless of your age or physical health, it’s important to have regular eye exams.
During a complete eye exam, your eye doctor will not only determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, but will also check your eyes for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health.
A comprehensive eye exam includes a number of tests and procedures to examine and evaluate the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision. These tests range from simple ones, like having you read an eye chart, to complex tests, such as using a high-powered lens to examine the health of the tissues inside of your eyes.
-
At The Vision Centers, our comprehensive contact lens exam and fitting ensures that you achieve clear vision and enjoy maximum comfort and eye health. We understand that each patient’s eyes are unique, so we take a personalized approach to finding the perfect lenses for you.
